CSX Lansdale Yard Lansdale PA July 20 2005 |
East Penn Railways recently acquired some "new" engines for its expanding operations. One of the former Southern Pacific B23-7's came up to Lansdale on CSX C746 this morning, and will be heading for its new home in Quakertown PA this afternoon. |
The local power, CSX 2641 and CSX 6365, with SP 5114 followed by the C746 power, CSX 8562 and CSX 8125. |
If it follows the pattern for former CSX 3153, SP 5114 will become EPRY 5144 and it will wear its Southern Pacific paint for a while. |
To say this engine is used is an understatement. |
It appears to have had body putty applied in spots and a few of the glass pieces are broken. |
The conductor's side is actually worse. It looks like it will take a little work to get this unit in working order. |
