Railfan Pictures of the Day - 06/16/2005
CSX Bethlehem Branch Hatfield PA June 14 2005 |
On the afternoon of June 13 2005, CSX local B735 had three covered hoppers derail while working at Jet Plastica in Hatfield PA. The cars, loaded with plastic pellets, remained upright and there was minimal damage. Terra was called out to clean up, bringing a couple of sidewinders to do the job, which they started the next morning. By 9:45 AM, Terra was working on the last car, HPPX 58668. |
The car needs to get a little airborne to make it over the rolled rail. |
Say hello to "POO BEAR" (not sure if that is the nickname of the sidewinder or the operator) next time he is in your neighborhood. |
One sidewinder is heading back to its flatbed trailer while the other finishes up and will soon join him ...... until the next assignment. |
