Amtrak purchased 70 model ACS-64 locomotives from Siemens for use along the Northeast Corridor. Beginning during February 2014, the units replaced aging model AEM7s and troublesome HHP8s. Unit number 601 was damaged beyond repair during 2015 in a wreck near Philadelphia. The number 666 was skipped.
Some photos are subpar because this site concentrates on railroad history rather than modern locomotives, hence many photos were serendipitous, as well as snapped from a safe distance then cropped to appear closer. Poor photos will be upgraded as I get better views.
