Pour procéder avec justesse à ce nivellement, on monte la voie sur de petit tas de ballast (photo suivante) | To get the maximum flexibility and ease of work, I put the tracks on a small amount of ballast (next picture) |

Et quand la voie est au niveau, on l'enterre de gravier. Ensuite, à l'aide des mains, on pousse ce gravier. Il prend alors sa forme définitive. | When the track is set to level, they are covered with ballast. Using your hands, push on the ballast and it will settle. |

À la fin de la journée, quand toutes les voies ont été ballastées, on passe avec un balai entre les rails pour enlever l'excès de ballast qui pourrait entrer en contact avec le matériel roulant. Aucun ballast ne doit dépasser la hauteur des dormants. | At the end of the day when every track has been ballasted, I use a broom to clean the ballast between the tracks.
