This
page has links to the N scale Amtrak trains I have assembled. Most of Amtraks cars and locomotives have been made in factory
painted models, often in the different phases or paint schemes used on that
piece of equipment. Amtrak uses many standardized car types, like superliners
and Amfleet cars, and assembles them into different
but sometimes similar trains. The modeler can do this too, and make many
different trains from a collection of models. I have tried to make examples of
Amtrak trains from different eras and different parts of the country, drawing
on the cars and locomotives I have. I end up with a variety of different
manufacturers, but that is the fun of modeling whole trains. I try to model
trains staying as close as I can to the prototype and sometimes cars must be
repainted or re-decaled.
