Kickoff Gala Celebration



    Over 175 people attended the invitation only Kickoff Gala Celebration held at Auburn's City Hall/Community Center. Events included art show viewing and awards, historical photo and artifact displays, a plaque dedication by the Native Sons of the Golden West, an electronic slide history presentation by Mike Lynch, special label wine tasting and sales, and souvenirs sales.

1. The Auburn Arts Commision contest featuring the Mountain Quarries RR Bridge had over 80 entries. (Gary Hughes image)

5. The Anniversary Committee commissioned this artwork by Ty Connors.
6. The Native Sons of the Golden West perform the dedication of a new plaque to be placed at the American River confluence. (Gary Hughes image)
7. Bonitata Boutique Winery custom label wine in two different varieties was available by the bottle or glass.

10. In addition to the Gala Event, several new signs have been installed in the canyon.
11. This new mini education center was also installed near the intersection of Highway 49 and Old Foresthill Rd.
12. Also placed here is the new Native Sons of the Golden West plaque.
