Former Gulf States Steel EMD switcher 922 has arrived and is stored in Duncansville. The
locomotive is interesting in that it features remote control (with indicator lights on the cab) and no MU capability.

GP16 1828 has arrived on the railroad. It has been reported at Claysburg, PA as of
September 28. Also noted at Claysburg was GP9 6051.

The Everett has purchased RJ Corman GP16 1828 (ex CSX 1828, nee SBD/FL 4782) to replace
departed SW9 8933. 1828 had been assigned to RJC's Pennsylvania Lines. Also purchased are several EMD
switchers from bankrupt Gulf States Steel in Gadsden, Alabama.

SW9 8933 has been sold to the Huntsville And Madison County RR Authority in Alabama.
Locomotive was relettered H&MC Railroad and was spotted in transit from the Everett to the H&MC on
September 19, 2001.

GP9 6051 and SW9 8933 had their horns stolen following the Horn and Whistle Enthusiasts
Meet at the Altoona Railroaders Memorial Museum. This is the second time a horn theft has occurred on the
railroad after one of these conventions.
