In 1930 the Burbank Airport was built on the principle that surface transportation would go away in favor of air.

1977 Lockheed sold the airport to Burbank.

2003 The name was changed to Burbank Bop Hope Airport.

It is the only airport within walking distance of an Amtrak/Metrolink Station.

His proposal, in relation to rail, is an Intermodal Regional Transportation Center with Walkway (moving-sidewalk) to a two-level building with pedestrian bridge to the railroad station. In this proposal, the airport will build the walkway.
