Here are some tid-bids from the journey:

Part ONE of the journey: Mumbai to Kasaragode by 6337 Okha-Ernakulam Express. The loco was WDM3A #16084R all the way. My coach was WGACCN 01122 (B1) based at ERMC, built by RCF in April 2001. The pantry gets a 6.5 on 10. The variety of food offered was poor, and the food was palatable. On the snacks part however, they were really tasty! The coach had an okay ride, and overall punctuality was okay.

Part TWO of the Journey: Road journey from Kasaragode to Alappuzha, Alappuzha to Kodungallur and finally Kodungallur to Bangalore. There was one railfanning at Ernakulam - these would be up seperately at the Platform 7 Blog.

Part THREE of the Journey: Returned from Bangalore by 6340 Nagecoil-Mumbai Express. The loco was WDM2 #17914 of Erode. My coach was WGACCN 02134 (B1) based at NCJ. The coach was built by RCF in October 2002. Passenger amenities - Average. The Pantry car is good, and gets 8 on 10.
