79. After initial shaping in the
lathe, a soon to be turntable bearing undergoes its first milling in the 5
horsepower Kerney & Trecker mill.
80. The bearing has been transferred
to the larger Kerney and Trecker mill to form the required arch.

82. In this view you can see the
rotary table used to rotate the bearing to form the arch.
83. Two of the completed bearings. A
total of eight were fabricated by the K4 machinists at Steamtown USA. They
will be shipped to the Altoona Railroad Museum in Altoona, PA. to replace
the worn out bearings on the new turntable.
