The WNYRHS finally caught a break with the weather the weekend of February 18th & 19th, 2023. After the cancelation of our Fall Train Show last November due to 70" of snow in Hamburg, we had a great weekend for our 32nd Annual Winter Train and Toy Show. See if you can find yourself in the photos below provided by members Joe Kocsis Jr., Steve Kocsis and Devan Lawton. Thank you! |

We want to thank all the dad's, sons, mothers and daughters who came to our show and hope you all found it entertaining and rewarding. It takes a tremendous amount of work to organize and staff a show this size but it was worth it seeing all the happy faces. Our show committee reports that we had 4088 paid adult tickets and over 1000 free child admissions. |

Our primary goal is to raise funds for the Society. Income and expenses are very closely monitored. Our second goal is to provide a show that gives the attendee the best value for their ticket price. And lastly, we want our shows to provide an atmosphere that appeals to all members of the family. We are one of the rare shows that is "scooter and stroller friendly". |

Visitors can stop at our WNYRHS tables as soon as they walk in that spotlight our equipment, updates from our Orchard Park and Williamsville Depots and the Heritage DiscoveRY Center. Books, Maps and other railroad related merchandise was for sale. |

Our Williamsville Depot crew always offers a great "Silent Auction" and "Basket Raffle." A two person "Cab Ride" in a Buffalo Southern locomotive drew a lot of interest. |

We also host many other Societies, Clubs and Organizations from all over Western New York. There are Model Railroad Clubs such as the Gowanda & Buffalo, N.O.M.E (HO & N gauge), Flower City HiRailers "O" Gauge and Buffalo Model Railroad Club which interact with the public. The gang from the Niagara Frontier Chapter of the NRHS always has much to offer as does the WNY Division of the National Model Railroad Association. |

There are so many thanks to go around that made this show so successful. But again we have to mention Art Toale our Trainshow Chairman for all his hard work organizing and coordinating all our dealers and friends who came to the show. The WNY Division of the National Model Railroad Association for scheduling talks and demonstrations. And a hearty Thank You to all our Society Members who volunteered their time to help set up and take down tables, take tickets, man tables and answer questions. We couldn't have done it without all of you! |
