Another Winter Train and Toy Show is now behind us as well as the Covid 19 crisis we hope! We want to thank all the dad's, sons, mothers and daughters who came to our show and hope you all found it entertaining and rewarding. It takes a tremendous amount of work to organize and staff a show this size but it was worth it seeing all the happy and "maskless" faces. Our show committee reports that we had just over 3900 paid adult tickets and over 1100 free child admissions. Although we only host two shows a year, that doesn’t mean the work stops in between. Preparations for the next show begin soon after this one as no two shows are ever alike!
Our primary goal is to raise funds for the Society. Income and expenses are very closely monitored. Our second goal is to provide a show that gives the attendee the best value for their ticket price. And lastly, we want our shows to provide a family atmosphere. We are one of the rare shows that is "scooter and stroller friendly". |

We have new vendors, returning vendors, just February or November vendors, and one day only vendors. There are Model Railroad Clubs such as the Gowanda & Buffalo, N.O.M.E (HO & N gauge), Flower City HiRailers "O" Gauge and Buffalo Model Railroad Club which interact with the public. |

|
We always have our WNYRHS tables that spotlight our equipment and future projects as well as railroad related merchandise for sale. There are also many other Societies, Clubs and Organizations from Western New York that participate. |

We also try to provide new concepts, such as the recent LEGO© Layouts and LEGO© vendors which have become a favorite. Model railroad fans are often die cast or model car fans, so there are always dealers that appeal to them. |
|
We also had guest speakers both Saturday and Sunday offering modeling how to's and tips, demonstrations and how to make realistic structures. Our thanks go out to the WNY Division of the NMRA for their help setting up these clinics. |
Thanks again to all our dealers and friends who came to the show. And a hearty Thank You to all our Society Members who volunteered their time to help set up and take down tables, take tickets, man tables and answer questions. We couldn't have done it without all of you! |
