Serious wreck on the U&D,
rear end collision at Broadhead's Bridge.
Engine and 15 Cars Wrecked.

August 31, 1911

Wreck of the Flyer

The U&D's famed train, the Rip Van Winkle Flyer,
has a deadly head-on collision at Halcottville
 

May 26, 1922

The Great Wreck of '22

Worst wreck ever on the U&D line.
Six killed when a coal train clobbers a backing work train.

August 23, 1930

Glenford Boiler Explosion

No. 24 explodes suddenly at Glenford.
Engineer and Fireman killed instantly.
Locomotive hurled into the air.
