About the S.V.G.R.S. |
The SVGRS is an informal group and our membership is spread out
over a fairly large area.
Our group is fairly active. Some of our activities and projects
include:
- Since 1996, we have been setting up a display for Christmas
Magic at the Rocky Ridge Park in York, PA.
- Since 1997, we have been setting up a display at the York Flower
Show.
- In 1997, we started our module group, which is comprised of
members who have built 4 foot long module units based on the plans
developed by the Bay Area Garden Railroad Society (This group
disbanded in 2002).
- We meet at members' homes during the summer months.
- We have a club picnic as one of our summer meetings.
- Club Newsletters
- Our club has been steadily accumulating track, tools and equipment
for use in making display layouts.
- We have participated in the ECLSTS in York, PA since 2001

No one is too old or too young to have fun with garden railroading.
Here, our youngest member, Joey Mower (age 3) bends some rail for
our modules. |
