The finished product! Your typical downtown candy store. |
Greg Berndtson - Scanned in a box of Whitman's Samplers and a box of life Savers. They were shrunk down to scale size, multiplied, printed, then wrapped around a small block of wood to simulate a stack for display. This was then glued onto a shelf in front of the window inside the store. A few windows, a tar-paper roof with additional vent pipes and a little exterior weathering were added to complete the conversion to S scale.
A TV antenna was added to the chimney, and a Sherwin Williams Paint sign was scanned, sized and printed. It was sanded to thin it and then glued in place on the side of the building. Just a few little details to add "character" to the building.
