little bit about this layout
THE NAPPY NOOK
RAILROAD is an inside basement layout in Browns Mills owned and operated by the
Irizarry's.
As
most train layouts it started out with a starter train purchased by Alice Irizarry
for Rudy at Wanamaker's Dept. Store to put around the Christmas tree back in 19--.
To have trains
to work on and enjoy year round Rudy gave up his dark room in the basement to
begin a great layout that has grown over the years. Walls were removed to allow
for longer runs and more tracks.
Rudy's Polar Express has lights in the cars now (Rudy installed
them) with the hobo riding on a car roof. Alice bought Rudy laser
lights (small) that shoots alternating colors to the ceiling,
Colors bounce off the ceiling and fall back to the layout. They
are a wonderful addition to the Polar Express layout, a warm special
type of layout that everyone enjoyed.
