little bit about this layout
THE NAPPY NOOK
RAILROAD is an inside basement layout in Browns Mills owned and operated by the
Irizarry's.
As
most train layouts it started out with a starter train purchased by Alice Irizarry
for Rudy at Wanamaker's Dept. Store to put around the Christmas tree back in 19--.
To have trains
to work on and enjoy year round Rudy gave up his dark room in the basement to
begin a great layout that has grown over the years. Walls were removed to allow
for longer runs and more tracks.
The
layout for the season is a festive Christmas layout with the Polar Express as
the center of attention. Lots of "snow" and holiday cheer. One hobo
fell off the train and is hidden somewhere in the piles of snow.
Rudy
bought a nail gun to make it easier to attach 2x4's to the wall. Alice has been
assigned that job.
Rudy
does his woodwork projects and templates in his shed.
The
Irizarry's open their train layout to adults and children but love to treat the
children to a visit to their train world.
