Railfan Pictures of the Week - 3/07/2021

CSX Trenton Line CP Berry Philadelphia PA February 16 2021

Normally, CSX pulling three GEVO's out of storage and running them up the East Coast would not make headline news. But these are not your everyday locomotives, these were the three units with the "Pride in Service" paint schemes. Probably the most photographed train in recent memory, CSX Q410-14 was shadowed from Georgia to New York as it made its way north on a three day journey/photo shoot. Thankfully they made it out of Philadelphia with just enough daylight to spare.
Leading was ES44AC-H CSX 911 aka The Red One, "Honoring Our 1st Responders" paired with CSX 3194, The Blue One, "Honoring Our Law Enforcement".
The train was half mixed freight, half autoracks.
In the middle was EX44AC-H 1776, The Camo One, "Honoring Our Veterans". By the time they got to Manville NJ, though, the lead unit developed issues and 1776 was moved from midtrain to the front, running to Selkirk long hood forward.
More autoracks have been coming up the Trenton Line the past couple years as compared to their meager beginnings back in 2019.
