In my daily travels through Orange County, occasionally I take driving routes which take me near local rail lines.  More often than not, there is no train.  Most of the time, the trains go by without incident.  Very rarely, I see something unusual, such as a private car attached to an Amtrak train, or foreign power on freight trains.  In early January 2003, Southern California experienced some fierce Santa Ana winds.  The morning after one of these wind events, I traversed through the City of Orange towards eastern Anaheim to find the first event.  As if this event was not notable, the next one is almost a strange.  While shortcutting through the Anaheim Stadium parking lot the second event was visible.
