The Meon Valley Railway, in Hampshire, opened on 1st June 1903 and closed over most of its length on 7th February 1955.
"C" configuration tablets are relatively rare, usually implemented at a three way single-line junction or when a block post was abolished. In the case of the Tisted to West Meon section, the intervening box (Privett) was converted to a ground frame on 20th June 1922 when it ceased to be a block post.
