These private handles were issued in 1960 when new rakes started joining the
fleet. They were made up of steel and each one had a unique serial number.
Subsequently, they were replaced by a pair of aluminum spanners, one for
reverser and the second for brake controller.
1928 stock needed only one spanner, i.e. for
reverser. It had a spring clip to hold it in place. 1950 Metro Cammell used the
same spanner for reverser but added one for brake controller.
1960 stock replaced Spring clip reverser
handle with a modern one.

Cheap imitation made by car shed.
Nevertheless, these spanners can easily be
used as a substitute for Railway pass between Churchgate to Virar and
Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus to Karjat / Kasara as well as platform tickets. I
have saved them as momentos.
