SEPTA Main Line 22nd Street Philadelphia PA August 15 2016 |
In addition to Bomber sets showing up in unusual places, SEPTA reached out to other transit agencies to see if they could spare some equipment while the Silverliner V's are out of commission. New Jersey Transit has provided a set of Comet cars and ALP-46 4623 for a couple runs on the Trenton Line. Here the deadhead move from Powelton Yard is shoved into Suburban Station where it will begin its trip north. |
AMTRAK leased a few of its brand new ACS-64's and a Keystone set for runs on the Keystone Corridor and the NEC. AMTK 619 was on a Keystone set with cab car 9638, arriving at 30th Street with the Cira Centre looming above it. |
MARC has lent SEPTA the most cars, almost enough for two sets. AMTRAK ACS-64 602 pulling a complete MARC set including cab car passing a SEPTA cab car decorated for the Eagles. |
Probably the most interesting set is a real dog's breakfast: SEPTA cab car 2410 ... |
a set of MARC Sumitomo coaches ... |
powered by AMTRAK ACS-64 612, making daily runs to and from Newark, Delaware |
The NJT set, having just departed Suburban Station, heading to 30th Street and points north. |
The Newark run passes a West Trenton Bomber set. |
Even with the leasers, SEPTA is still shorthanded, so its push-pulls are getting to stretch their legs more than they ever have, including the only operating ALP-44 in existence, SPAX 2308. |
