April 2016 was a busy month on the Madison side of the project. After digging the foundation for the bridge center support, the form was assembled. April 5 2016 |
A web of rebar will reinforce the concrete pier. |
April 14 2016 The base of the tower has been poured and the form removed, meanwhile work continues on the foot of the pedestrian bridge. |
April 18 2016 The form for the second pour on the support tower is in place. |
Wonder how they get the concrete up there? They have a special pumper truck for that. |
April 30 2016 The center point is ready and waiting for the elevator towers on either side of it. The bridge between the two towers is scheduled to be assembled on site and lowered in place the weekend of June 18 2016. |
