| Part One of a series on the SEPTA Lansdale Parking Garage Project |
| SEPTA waited until after the Papal Visit to begin one of the biggest projects in recent memory: the construction of a parking garage at Lansdale Station. The garage will occupy most of the parking area bounded by Lansdale Freight Yard, the Front Track and the Wye Track. This picture from October 3 2015 shows where the garage and the accompanying pedestrian bridge to the Madison development across the freight tracks will be built. The tank cars in the distance are on the Wye Track, the Freight Yard is to the left and the Front Track to the right. This spot will be the location of the pedestrian bridge that will connected the garage to Lansdale's Madison development across the freight tracks. |

| The view looking west. The construction/staging area will occupy just about everything you see here, encompassing almost the entire lot with only the parking spots along the periphery available. Access to the station from Fifth Street will be gained via the lanes to the left and the right, which will remain open for the duration. With the loss of most of the SEPTA parking lot and the pending loss of much of the Madison parking lot, SEPTA has been advising patrons to use 9th Street, Pennbrook and North Wales stations. |
