NS Morrisville Line Plymouth Meeting PA November 18 2015 |
The NS Geometry Train 904 made its semi-annual trip on the Morrisville Line on November 18 2015. Before 904 with its engine, research slug and research car could get the light at CP King, NS H84 with its two engines and caboose had to shove onto the Ernest Running Track to clear up the main between CP King and CP Plymouth. |

NS D9-44CW 9345 will shove the train to Morrisville then pull it back. In the distance under the overpass you can see the hind end of 14G on the siding. |
After passing the stopped 14G at Plymouth, 904 continued east, passing all that is left of the PRR catenary poles, remnants of the Pennsylvania Railroad's electrification of the line back when it was the Trenton Cutoff. |
Conrail cut the poles in the 1990's about the time SEPTA made rumblings about using the line for a proposed Cross County Metro that would have run from Trenton to Frazer. Coincidence? |
