Railfan Pictures of the Week - 9/6/2015
SEPTA Norristown Line Ford Street Norristown PA April 23 2015 |
The main customer for NS local H82 out of Abrams Yard is construction debris in and out of Conshohocken Rail just off the connecting track between SEPTA's Norristown Line and NS's Morrisville Line. While it usually rates a pair of GP38-2 or even a brace of SW1001's, it sometimes requires, as Tim the Toolman would say, MORE POWER! Whether it required it or these just happen to be the units lying around, this day it is GE D9-44CW 9046 and EMD SD70 2501. |
The loaded gondolas happen to match the NS paint scheme. |
With a red flag as an EOT, H82 crosses over from the connecting track to SEPTA Track 1 ... |
and over to SEPTA Track 2 for the return home. |
