SEPTA Doylestown and Main Lines Lansdale PA March 31 2015 |
An unusual shot of Pennsylvania Northeastern on SEPTA's Doylestown Line because the engine is leading coming into Lansdale. When PN runs out to Lansdale Warehouse (the only remaining customer on the branch), the siding is accessed via a trailing switch heading northbound. When they bring back cars, they are always shoving. In this case, they did not need to run out to the warehouse, they only needed to turn a couple cars, so they shoved out the wye to Seventh Street and then headed south to Dale, here about to cross Fifth Street grade crossing. |
With the opening of Ninth Street grade crossing later this year, Fifth Street may be closed at the railroad. |
At Lansdale Station, they pulled out onto SEPTA's Main Line down to CP Dale ... |
and then shoved back into the yard. |
