NS Harrisburg Line Swedeland PA March 16 2015 |
NS 39G (Pavonia to Allentown) rolls through Swedeland PA with an NS-UP-NS set. |
The third unit was NS GP38-2 5286 in Operation Lifesaver scheme. |
Most interesting was the fact that the entire train was made up of tank cars, mimicking many of the oil and ethanol unit trains that are so common, except that 39G did not have any of the buffer cars found on the unit trains. |
That unit train look would only be until Abrams, where upon reaching the yard, they received instructions on what cars the would add to their train (after the crew on the local job shifting the yard cleared its three light engines into Seaboard) before continuing west to Allentown. |
