SEPTA Norristown Line Conshohocken PA October 13 2014 |
SEPTA RL1A 60 brought a tie train up to Conshohocken, working between Conshohocken Station and Spring Mill Station. |
The FRA has deemed manual handling of the ties unsafe, so now it is done with a Bobcat. |
The new method may be safer but can be very messy. |
After dropping the ties along the right of way, a tie handler follows up behind, moving the ties away from the rails and generally making things nice and neat. |
