NS Harrisburg Line Bridgeport PA September 2 2014 |
Starting in late August 2014, the former 38G/39G runs between Allentown and Pavonia have been split in two. The new trains are K34 Allentown to Abrams and back and K38 Abrams to Pavonia and back. Here the return trip of K38 approaches Mill Street in Bridgeport as track patrol prepares to run down to CP Rock. |
As is common for 39G, it features a pair of GE widecabs, NS ES44AC 8164 and 8110. |
The front half of the train has the usual 39G mix of coil cars, covered hoppers, box cars, gondolas and tank cars ... |
while the back half resembles one of the ubiquitous unit tank trains seen so often these days. |
