NS Abrams Yard Upper Merion PA August 8 2014 |
It's dinner time at Abrams Yard and time for the twins: NS 38G and 39G. The bookends start at Allentown and Pavonia respectively and both frequently arrive at Abrams at the same time. Here is 38G with a trio of NS Catfish, getting ready to work the yard from the Seaboard side. |
Meanwhile, 39G arrives from the south, a pair of NS engines with a BNSF trailing. It is also about to work the yard, but it will do so from North Abrams/Heavy side. The local power is usually found in two places: the MP15DC and pair of GP38-2's seen here in Seaboard ... |
and the storage tracks on the Heavy side: GP40-2 3038, SW1001 2100 and GP38-2 5643. |
