NS Harrisburg Line Bridgeport and West Conshohocken PA Februar 24 2014 |
Due to track work, Mainline ran NS 64T east on Track 1, here passing Ford Street at MP 17 on the NS Harrisburg Line in Bridgeport. This is probably the only vantage point where the abandoned Chester Valley Branch looks like it is still alive, as the rails end just on the other side of the switch in the foreground. Also for modelers, you have to love the clutter around the grade crossing, so next time some says "Too much!", you can say "Not Enough!" |
Today's power is our favorite mismatched pair: SD70ACE 2700 and ... |
SW1001 2101. |
Of course if you are modeling this train, all you need is a spacer car like a covered hopper (usually you need two but this train only had one up front behind the engines) and an almost endless string of black tank cars. |
Also for the modelers: while Bridgeport exudes the red brick old manufacturing vibe, nearby West Conshohocken features a more modern concrete and glass canyon office building feel. |
