| Even in the dead of winter, the slab steel imports keep coming. Bringing a string of empty NS and CR gondolas back to Morrisville is NS C40-8W 8330 (nee former Conrail CR 6076). |

| The empties may require just one unit, but rest assured the loads will demand a little more power for the trip back west. |

| Gondolas are probably the most common (and most abused) car on the railroad, and with the 50 year service exemptions that the AAR has granted to many of the old Conrail cars ... |
