NS Connecting Track and SEPTA Norristown Line Norristown PA February 2 2014 |
With SEPTA working in Ford Interlocking, the NS trains in and out of Morrisville have had to wait for windows where the tracks are clear. Having gotten the call from SEPTA's Desk 3 dispatcher, NS 21E rolls down the hill at CP King on Connecting Track on its way to Ford Street. |
At Ford Street, NS personnel are on the ground to walk them through the grade crossing. |
The SEPTA C&S gang continues to work on installing a switch as 21E crawls by. |
The strip of land between the curb and the retaining wall was once a siding off the old Reading Company line that ran from Ford Street to DeKalb Street, servicing the heavy industries along the river. |
After 21E passes, it is back to business. |
