SEPTA Main Line and Doylestown Line and Pennsylvania Northeastern Lansdale Yard Lansdale PA September 12 2013 |
Toward the end of the CSX era in Lansdale, daylight runs to Lansdale Warehouse on the Doylestown Line became almost routine. A little more than two years after the takeover by Pennsylvania Northeastern, it's like old times as L160, after shoving the train from the warehouse to CP Dale, pulls the empties into the yard in Lansdale. |
After quickly grabbing the loads, PNRR 5342 decides to take a different route: the Bethlehem Branch to the Doylestown Branch via the recently rehabbed and reactivated wye in Lansdale. |
With only three cars and the engine, L160 was able to pause between Fifth Street and Seventh Street grade crossings to wait for its opportunity to run to the warehouse. |
Finally, after watching a pair of northbounds and a pair of southbounds, L160 got its chance ... |
and off they went to the warehouse. To be continued ... |
