SEPTA Norristown High Speed Line Bridgeport PA July 3 2013 |
Less than a week before the start of the closure of the Schuylkill River Viaduct, SEPTA was putting the finishing touches on the new "temporary" northern terminus of the Norristown High Speed Line. After the installation of shelters at the station at Bridgeport, it just needed a coat of paint, purple of course to follow the SEPTA color code. A far cry from what it looked like a little while ago. |
Meanwhile, a web of safety nets shrouds the portion of the bridge between the station and the river's edge on the Bridgeport side. |
For the next four months, a ride on an N5 to Norristown would be wishful thinking ... |
and the bridge won't see another one of these until Thanksgiving? |
