SEPTA Lansdale Station and Pennsylvania Northeastern Yard April 7, 9, 10 and 17 2013 |
Earlier this month, SEPTA started wire work on the Doylestown Branch east of School House Road, and to save time, they have decided to station the wire train on the Bethlehem Industrial Track while it is not in use. This will save about two hours of travel time each day to and from Wayne Electric. The wire train was brought up during the weekend in preparation for work first thing Monday morning (actually closer to 9:00 Monday morning). |
Considering the wire train was tagged with grafitti while parked in Wayne Electric Yard a few years ago, it would seem it is safer up here anyway. |
Alas, just a couple days later, RL1A 61 picked up a knock and was gone with SW1200 52 pinch-hitting. The normal hours of operation are days between 9:00 and 15:00 and evenings between 22:00 and 5:00. |
By the end of the first week, 61 was back and has resided up here since. |
The next week a new friend arrived as 5577 headed to Warminster and was replaced by PN 5315. |
