SEPTA Wayne Junction Station Philadelphia PA March 24 2012 |
Wayne Junction Station is currently undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation that will include new elevators (per ADA requirements), a new high level platform for the inbound side and renovation of the remaining buildings at the station. |
The Germantown Avenue Headhouse is currently under reconstruction ... |
while the Wayne Avenue end is used for passengers. |
The new station will feature a high level platform between the Main Line (foreground) and the Chestnut Hill East Branch (background) tracks from the Headhouse ... |
to the station building, which fortuitously has windows placed high enough to be used in conjunction with the high level platforms. |
