Railfan Pictures of the Week - 10/02/2011

SEPTA Main Line Lansdale PA September 29 2011

While SEPTA's new Silverliner V's have been making regular training runs up to Lansdale lately, a training train featuring a real live locomotive is a rarity, especially when it is the former NJT Comet 1 set led by SPAX 2460 ...
with the other cab car, SPAX 2461, coupled up to SEPTA 2308, their only ALP-44, which would be doing all the work.
The crew took a lunch break as the parade of revenue runs passed by on the station tracks.
Seven cars and an engine barely fit on the industrial, and probably wouldn't fit on the runner.
After lunch, the train headed back into town to get ready for its regularly scheduled rush hour revenue run later in the day.
