SEPTA Doylestown Branch Chalfont PA August 20 and 21 2011

It's two weekends of bustitution on the SEPTA Doylestown Branch as they prepare for the removal of the north end switch of the Forest Siding in Chalfont.
Work started Friday night and by Saturday afternoon they were already preparing to spot the concrete sections for the new grade crossing.
There are only two customer sidings remaining on the branch, and SEPTA parked a ballast regulator and a tamper on the northernmost siding at 84 Lumber which is adjacent to the Route 202 grade crossing.
By Sunday afternoon, the crossing was almost complete as the tamper works the newly laid ties.
Just in time to cool the freshly laid asphalt, the skies opened up.
