PATCO High Speed Line and Campbell's Field Camden NJ June 26 2011 |
Campbell's Field in Camden NJ is the home of the Camden Riversharks of the independent Atlantic League, and the park offers spectacular views of Philadelphia just across the Delaware River and the Benjamin Franklin Bridge as well as the PATCO High Speed Line that runs from Philadelphia PA to Lindenwold NJ. |
The typical four car train found in weekend service passes the outfield every 20 minutes. As we were reminded by the announcer during the game (which was won by the RiverSharks in extra innings), each walk is sponsored by PATCO and each "call to the bullpen" by Amtrak. The park is easily reached using PATCO to City Hall Station or the RiverLINE which runs along Delaware Avenue right outside of the park . |
