The Philadelphia Chapter of the NRHS will be sponsoring a Farewell to the Silverliners trip on September 25 2011. More information will be forthcoming shortly. Click here for a PDF containing information about the excursion. In the meantime, a preview of the possibilities. Depending on the turnout, a two-car set may be all we need (263 and 266) ... |
preferably with something unusual like the camera car, now sans SEPTA placard on one end. |
A better choice for a better turnout would be one of each: a Reading Silverliner II, a Pennsylvania Silverliner II and a Pennsylvania Silverliner III, which would look just like this, except for this shot both II's are Reading (9006 and 9014), the III is 229. |
How about a pure Reading set of II's (9002, 9008 and 9010)? |
Although most of the running will be on the former Reading side of the system, at least one of the cars should probably be a Pennsy (9007, 212, 9004). |
With hopefully a better turnout, four cars could be required (266, 252, 215, 201). |
Better yet, we'll take them all. |
