SEPTA West Trenton Line Langhorne Station Langhorne PA April 11 2011 |
On Monday April 11 2011, SEPTA Train 6325 woke up dead in West Trenton, and SEPTA RL1A 60 was dispatched from Wayne Electric to bring it into town. Unfortunately on the way back the rescue diesel died just east of Langhorne Station, resulting in single tracking between Wood and Neshaminy while they figured out what to do next. Train 3433 ran Track 2, pictured approaching Langhorne Station with lead MU Silverliner IV 299, still missing some cab striping due to a repair several months ago. Ironically 299 was one of the first Silverliners to sport the new window and cab striping back in 1998. |
Following 3433 was a training train led by ALP-44 2308 with the former NJT Comet 1 cars (cab control car 2460, coaches 2594, 2595, 2592, 2591 and 2590, and cab control car 2461). |
BL15 50 was eventually dispatched from Wayne Electric to rescue the rescue train ... |
taking the whole thing down to Wayne Junction and, after a crew change, onto Frazer Shops. |
BL15 50, RL1A 60, AEM-7 2303, center door coach 2554, cab control car 2401, center door coaches 2553 and 2551, coaches 2510 and 2507 and cab control car 2409. |
