Amtrak Northeast Corridor Holmesburg Junction Philadelphia PA February 17 2011 |
Just before noon on February 17 2011, Conrail Shared Assets Operations CSAO WPMO-80 arrives at Holmesburg Junction in Philadelphia on its way west from Morrisville PA to Frankford Junction in Philadelphia. The power is former Reading Company SW1001 2614 which became Conrail CR 9414 before getting its NS number 2104 and the new NS horsehead paint scheme. Also along for the ride were five high sided gondolas and shoving platform NYC 901020. |
CETC-6 told them they would be waiting for two eastbounds and a westbound before they could cross over to 0 Track (pronounced "Oh Track"). A late running SEPTA Train 731, the local to Trenton, was first up with the usual consist of Silverliner IV's. |
Next was Amtrak Northeast Regional Train 95 with HHP-8 654 pulling a string of Amfleets. |
The last would be Acela Express 2160 running east on Track 3 between Shore and Grundy. |
Just after the fastest train on the railroad passed, the slowest one got the signal to head west. |
