SEPTA Doylestown Branch Link Belt Siding New Britain PA November 19 and 20 2010 |
Work continues on the new passing siding at Link Belt on the Doylestown Branch. Between revenue runs ... |
the area is being graded and a fence erected along the south side of the tracks. |
Last weekend Schoolhouse Road grade crossing was replaced, and this weekend the switch at the eastern side of the new siding will be installed. |
At the western end of the siding, the switch was put in place the previous weekend ... |
and the grade crossing at County Line Road was being flagged the last day before replacement. |
By early the next morning, the Schoolhouse Road switch is already in, awaiting ballast ... |
and work was progressing at County Line Road. |
The excavation at County Line Road was a bit more extensive compared to Schoolhouse Road due to PennDOT drainage pipes that were in need of replacement. Considering Schoolhouse was not opened until Monday afternoon, it did not look good for rush hour at the start of the work week ......... to be continued |
