SEPTA Main Line and Norristown Line September 22 2010 |
SEPTA Silverliner pilot cars 701, 801 and 802 are still in testing/training mode and have been making trips all over the system. Lansdale seems to be a favorite destination, here pausing on Doylestown Track 2 while the crew reverses ends for the run back south. |
Within minutes SEPTA's newest equipment (7 months old) departs one of SEPTA's oldest stations (108 years old), heading for 16th Street Junction in the city. |
The test train turned at 16th Street Junction for the Norristown Line, making simulated station stops all the way up to Norristown Transportation Center. Here they are approaching Ford Street grade crossing in Norristown. |
Less than ten minutes later the train did a quck turn at CP Kalb and started back for home, Wayne Electric. |
