SEPTA Doylestown Branch Hatfield and New Britain PA September 15 2010 |
Work continues on SEPTA's new passing siding at Link Belt on the Doylestown Branch. Here on the north side they are boring a hole for a new catenary support foundation. |
A new signal post foundation has already been installed on the south side of the track. |
A Swingmaster sits on what is left of the old Wood Siding, the switch having already been removed over Labor Day weekend. The area will be used to assemble track panels for the new siding. |
On the Bucks County side of County Line Road, the new catenary poles on the south side of the tracks are being installed while they wait for the new bridge to arrive. |
Regular service has not been interrupted during the work, but that will probably change as the project progresses. It should be interesting to see when they do the track and wire work. |
