SEPTA West Trenton Line West Trenton NJ and Langhorne PA December 1 2009 |
Two of the first trains out of West Trenton Yard on the morning of December 1 2009 encountered wire problems and both SEPTA passenger and CSX freight service was suspended for several hours. Up at West Trenton, the wire train worked on the crossover out of the yard to Track 1. |
Just before 11:00 the first train from Philadelphia arrived even while the wire train continued its work. Earlier trains were turned at Woodbourne or Langhorne. |

After fixing the catenary up at West Trenton, the wire train moved west to attend to more damage near Langhorne. They started just west of Fairless Junction, where Q300, which finally got the signal after sitting at CP Nesh for a few hours, passes them . |
And worked their way around to Langhorne Station, where the offending train had been tied down and pantographs lowered on the rear two cars. It sat there until after noon when the 651 crew out of Wayne Electric with Extra 50 was sent up to bring it back into town. |
