CSX Bethlehem Branch Telford PA September 15 2009 |
After working the Bethlehem Branch up from Lansdale, the crew of CSX B738 takes lunch in Telford, parking GP38-2 2720 just north of County Line Road. |
While they parked the engine in Bucks County, they dine at the Towne Restaurant (brick building to the right) in Montgomery County. |
The rest of the train sits at the Washington Street crossing, waiting to head to Lansdale. |
The track between County Line and Meetinghouse Roads is the interchange between CSX out of Lansdale and shortline ESPN out of Quakertown, but much of the rail on the ESPN side is currently occupied by cars in storage. The short section between Washington Street and County Line Road has a string of ex-FEC flat cars, which at this time are apparently of no use to their new owners, General American Marks Company, part of GATX Corporation. |
