NS Harrisburg Line Brideport PA and NS Morrisville Line Norristown PA June 25 2009 |
NS Black SW1001 2101 is paired with Conrail Blue SW1500 2222 on H25 as it pulls a string of tank cars through Bridgeport PA down to the Falls on NS Harrisburg Line Track 1. |
H25 ran Track 1 due to a tie and surfacing gang working on Track 2 near the switch to the former Reading Chester Valley Branch. |
Just after H25 departed Abrams Yard, CSX Q190 did the same but in a different direction, heading east across the Schuylkill River over to Norristown and the Morrisville Line. |
More than half the train was composed of empty cars, a sign of the times. |
After Q190 passed, it was back over to Bridgeport to a spot that says it all. |
The reason: to wait for CSX B738. The overnight train to Lansdale C746 outlawed on the Belmont Siding down in the city and the day crew went down to pick it up and bring it home. |
